Field to Fork Tour

This new initiative invites local school children aged 7 – 14 to spend a day with us and experience our special ‘Field to Fork’ tour.

During the day the children enjoy a field experience and learn about the different produce we farm and package in our factory. Our experts are on hand throughout to educate the children on the different areas of the business, such as farming, manufacture and the innovation kitchen.

At the end of the visit the children receive a free ‘goody bag’ to take home, which includes the salad bag they created in the innovations kitchen; a timeline of the field to fork process; salad and fruit recipe cards; a Natures Way Foods Fact card and environmental fact card and a bug identification leaflet with a magnifying card.

The ‘Field to Fork’ tour was launched in June 2008 and is already proving extremely popular. The tour targets key areas of the National Curriculum such as Geography, Science, PHSD and technology and also helps schools achieve the Government’s Healthy Schools Award.
