Selsey is ideally located between the Isle of White and Bognor Regis on the South Coast, enjoying some of the longest light hours in the UK.

The nearby sea cools the land and air in summer, and reflects the sunlight in winter acting as a radiator to reduce frosts. This unique combination of good light levels, soil type and mild temperatures, makes Selsey the ideal spot for growing salads and because our packaging facility is so near to our growing areas, we can process the lettuce when it's fresh.

Come the winter months when the UK climate is unsuitable for growing salad, we source our raw product further afield, from France, Spain and Italy. 

In these countries, even in winter the average temperature is higher than the UK, providing ideal salad growing conditions.
